On June 23, employees of the Danone-Unimilk company went to visit the children from the SOS Children's Villages of Tomilino and Lavrovo. The Social Responsibility Team tells about the trip.
SOS children's villages are a unique alternative to children's homes, where comfortable conditions are created for children who have lost their families so that they grow up happy and are well-prepared for adult life. Twenty-three families are living in Tomilino and Lovovo, consisting of a "mother" and six to eight children. We went to visit the children with gifts and a supply of good mood.
The journey to the Village of SOS Tomilino, which is located in the Moscow region, did not take much time. The Tomilinsky children cordially welcomed the guests, having prepared a small concert. The children are very talented, thank them for their performance! After the concert, over tea with buns, the guys told us about themselves and their achievements. The children were open to communication, and with great joy, they showed us their rooms, houses, and toys. We were given a kind of tour of the Village, and then we all went to the playground together!
At this time, the second bus with our colleagues was approaching the SOS Lavrovo Children's Village, which is located a few kilometers from the city of Orel.
The children were waiting for sports gifts: badminton sets, frisbee plates, and for the foot-sick team of SOS Lavrovo Children's Hospital - two personal soccer balls. And, of course, we brought sweets to the guys – each of the 12 families received a large and delicious cake as a gift! It was raining outside the window, and we gathered in a large and cozy kitchen, listened to stories about "village" life, and asked the guys about their plans for the summer. When the sun came out, everyone happily ran outside, painting the sky with different-colored frisbees. It fascinated both children and adults. We ran for more than an hour, and had fun, throwing each other funny plates. Then the hour of football came, and the funniest of us went out to the "village" football field. Friendship has won!
We had a wonderful day with our wards, giving and receiving a lot of kind and sincere emotions, such as you rarely experience the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We will definitely come again! Many thanks to everyone who went to visit the guys! Also, thanks to those who helped organize this wonderful event: Victoria Saakyan, Yulia Sarkisyan, Maria Hvorostenko, Alexey Ivkin, and Daria Filatova.
